Hey everyone. Long time no see!
We love going on adventures, especially out into the woods. Over the past 13 years, we haven’t really gotten to explore off the beaten path due to the vehicles that we were driving. We traded in our 2015 Ford Focus ST for a 2015 Toyota RAV4 last weekend and we can say that it was well worth it!
The first thing that we did, not even an hour after we purchased it, was head to some roads that we had always wanted to explore here in Pennsylvania, but couldn’t access then due to our very low clearance vehicle. Starting out in Mount Holly Marsh Preserve, on Ridge Road, we made our way over the mountain towards Tuscarora State Forest.
What we were expecting were some shitty parts of the road due to the heavy amount of rain that we received here in Central Pennsylvania the week before. The rain had washed a lot of the road out, so we got to test out some of the RAV4’s abilities along the first few miles of the trip. And she passed with flying colors!
We loved the many beautiful overlooks and the quietness of the forest. Tanner enjoyed getting to see and smell new smells along each trail that we walked through as well. Below are a few photos taken during this trip. Enjoy!
If you ever find yourself in this part of Pennsylvania, make sure you go and check Tuscarora State Forest out!
