Views from the backyard

Our backyard is really small

DSC_7200

As a matter of fact, we can’t really do much at all

Most of the time we let the grass get really tall

Because mowing the lawn really sucks balls

We stand by our back door and watch the birds and butterflies flutter ’round

And hate it when the Dark-eyed Juncos arrive

Because that’s when the snow will hit the ground

Tanner loves to play in the grass

Roll around, dig holes and run really fast

Although this is not the home that we will always be

We look out our back window and always see

A place that our puppy will grow up and play

And a place that we can get away.

  1. Nice story and pics…I’ve been trying to figure out what to do about our yard. It became gopher central over the winter and covered in our neighbor’s weeds. I know how its going to end up though…green and full of gopher holes…lol. Enjoy your yard though…your dog looks like he loves it.
